END PUSHOUT ACT: DISRUPTING THE CRIMINALIZATION OF BLACK GIRLS IN SCHOOLS
At Justice for Black Girls, we recognize that the criminalization of Black girls disrupts the safety, well-being, and future opportunities of Black girls nationally. We also center Black girls as justice leaders with the power to innovate ways to disrupt carceral schooling.
We’ve partnered with Ben & Jerry’s and invite you to join the fight to End School Pushout.

THE CROWN ACT: CELEBRATING THE SACREDNESS OF BLACK GIRLS' HAIR
At Justice for Black Girls, we recognize that hair discrimination is a form of racial and gender-based oppression that directly contributes to the confinement of Black girlhood. Data reveals that as early as 5 Black girls are receiving demeaning messaging about their hair.
Schools and workplaces often police Black girls’ natural hair, reinforcing harmful narratives that deem their identity and expression as unacceptable. The CROWN Act, which prohibits race-based hair discrimination, is critical to ensuring that Black girls can exist freely in educational and professional spaces without punishment or bias. By amplifying The CROWN Act, we push for policies that affirm Black girls' right to wear their hair naturally, combat systemic exclusion, and affirm that Black girls hair is sacred.

BLACK GIRL SCOUT MARKETPLACE
At Justice for Black Girls, we know that barriers to opportunity for Black girls can exist in any space.
New data showing that Black Girl Scouts are denied access to high-visibility sales locations highlights the systemic inequities that limit their ability to thrive. These disparities don’t just impact cookie sales—they affect funding for programming, leadership opportunities, and holistic investment.
JBG proudly leads our Black Girl Scout Marketplace campaign, challenging exclusionary practices, uplifting Black girls in all spaces, ensuring that all Black girls have opportunities to thrive in any space they choose to occupy.
